Assoc. Director of Church Multiplication – Reformed Church in America – Grand Rapids, MI
Job Details Summary of Position The associate director of Church Multiplication will catalyze a church planting movement throughout North America and partner with global planting efforts. They work directly with CMT staff, alongside other initiative leaders in the RCA and partnering denominations/networks, and through classes and regions. The associate director is responsible for helping to develop and implement vision, strategy, systems, and capacity to plant 1,000 churches and missional communities in the next 20 years that represent indigenous diversity in context, ethnicity, design, and leadership. Responsibilities and Essential Duties: 1. Assist in designing and implementing the vision, strategy, systems, and capacity to plant an average of 50 churches and missional communities per year. 2. Engage as part of the GSC Church Multiplication staff. 3. Assist in the development of fully functioning classis multiplication teams. 4. Ensure effective and efficient systems for recruiting, training, coaching, and parenting church plants. 5. Research and develop new models of church planting and export transferable learnings to the greater church. 6. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications: 1. Committed to the mission and vision of the Reformed Church in America. 2. A minimum of four years of experience in church planting and parenting experience and catalytic leadership track record at the church, classis, region and/or denominational levels in church multiplication. 3. Bachelor’s degree in ministry or related field. 4. Demonstrated ability to appropriately problem solve while working independently and as a team player; vision casting capability, leadership selection ability, team development, and utilizing the giftedness of others.

Ability to travel up to 70 days per year. 9. Effective cross-cultural experience. Desired Qualifications: 1. Minister of Word and Sacrament or Commissioned Pastor in the RCA. 2. Working knowledge of RCA polity and structures. 3. Experience with coach training. 4. Experience with planter assessment training. 5. Experience equipping planters. 6.
