Lead Pastor
The Lead Pastor of Maplewood Reformed Church (MRC) is responsible for pastoral care, Word & Sacrament, and leading us into our mission to connect disconnected people to Christ and each other. We expect that this Lead Pastor would have a passion for and growing relationship with Jesus Christ that inspires a vision for mission and ministry in our community and the world. The Lead Pastor will be responsible for engaging and equipping the congregation in the areas of spiritual formation/growing in Christ, worship, and leadership. The Lead Pastor will also be responsible for working with and leading the Consistory and MRC Staff in the day-to-day ministries of Maplewood. This is a full-time role, however, we are also open to a shared co-pastorate team.

– A growing relationship with Jesus Christ, resulting in Christ-like character. A leader who can maintain a healthy Biblical balance between attending to personal, family, and congregational needs.
– A love for all God’s people and the ability to easily create relationships with others, both inside and outside of the church.
– The skill to clearly communicate the gospel and inspire others to grow as followers of Jesus Christ.
– A strong vision for the mission of Christ, with the ability to both organize and equip others in the carrying out of that vision.
WORSHIP – Give guidance and direction to Sunday morning worship services at Maplewood to shape worship services that are dynamic, balanced, and consistent with God’s leading. Oversee planning and coordination of Orders of Worship, the liturgical calendar, sacraments, and volunteers. – Serve as the primary preaching pastor at MRC approx. 85-90% of the time. – Work side-by-side with the Worship Coordinator regarding the musical aspects of our worship gatherings.
