Guide to Applying For Federal Student Loans
Unsubsidized (non-need based) loans through the William D. Ford Direct Loan Program are available to eligible graduate students up to $20,500 in Stafford Loans per year. The Cost of Attendance determines how much a student may be entitled to during a given period. Need is determined by the federal government through the FAFSA process.
All student loans must be repaid.
Based on a student’s Cost of Attendance the student may be eligible to apply for Grad Plus loans. These loans require a separate application and a credit history report will be pulled. A student will be accepted or denied based on this report.
