Steps for Completing Financial Aid
Step1
APPLY TO NEW BRUNSWICK THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY & GAIN ACCEPTANCE
A prospective student must submit their application to our admissions department before their financial aid eligibility will be reviewed.
Step 2
COMPLETE THE FAFSA APPLICATION ONLINE
NBTS participates in the Williams D. Ford Direct Student Loan program. Our school code is G02619. All student loans, including interest, must be repaid in full.
Step 3
COMPLETE THE NEW BRUNSWICK THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Our scholarship program is available to assist students who demonstrate financial need or show exemplary performance and are enrolled in a master’s degree.
Step 4
OFFER OF AWARDS
The Financial Aid office at NBTS will receive an electronic copy of your FAFSA information from the Department of Education. Your information will be reviewed. An award offer letter will be issued and mailed to you. You must accept or deny any aid offered to you by the date indicated on the letter. The entire process can take up to 4-6 weeks.
Step 5
DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS
After the semester has started and your attendance has been confirmed by the registrar, your financial aid awards that you accepted will disperse to your account.
Step 6
RE-APPLY FOR AID EVERY YEAR
NBTS Financial Aid is awarded on a yearly basis. A new application must be submitted each year beginning in October. You must complete the scholarship application and reapply through the FAFSA website annually.
