Thank you Barbara Fillette and welcome James Brumm!
July 1, 2014
Thank you Barbara! The Rev. Dr. Barbara Fillette is finishing her sixth and final year as Director of the Reformed Church Center on May 1st. Barbara is a 1988 graduate of NBTS and the retired pastor of the North and Southampton Reformed Church in Churchville, Pa. She assumed the role of Director a year after Dr. John Coakley, the founder of the Center, assumed new roles in the Seminary community. We offer our deepest thanks to Barbara for her faithful and pastoral presence at all of the Center’s events. She cared for RCA students, implemented the annual plan of lectures created with the Faculty Center Committee and nurtured networks of pastors and RCA leaders who attended meals and lectures that fed stomachs and souls. We commend her into God’s care as she and her husband plan to travel even more and participate fully in the lives of their grandchildren.
Welcome James! The Rev. James Brumm, the pastor of the Blooming Grove Reformed Church outside of Albany, NY, will assume the role of Director of the Reformed Church Center on May 1, 2014. James is a 1987 graduate of NBTS, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Westminster Choir College and a Master of Philosophy Degree from Drew University. In addition to being a very active author of hymns and articles on hymnody and worship, James has just begun his second time as moderator of the Commission on History in the RCA. We are delighted that James will bring his deep love of music, history and worship to his new role among us. Welcome James!
