Launching of New Brunswick-Payne AME Center for Theological Education
October 10, 2014
Payne Theological Seminary, the oldest African-American Seminary in the United States, and New Brunswick Theological Seminary, the oldest seminary in North America, announced a new partnership that would create and nurture an inspired generation of justice-seeking leaders for the church and the world. With more than 350 years of theological education between us, these historic institutions have begun to imagine how their common and passionate commitment to justice and reconciliation can be shared to help create a new world for God.
This partnership was launched on Saturday, October 11, 2014 in the New Brunswick Theology Seminary’s new seminary building. The day was spent with the Rev. Dr. Allan Boesak, a prophetic and pastoral presence in the birth and growth of a new South Africa.
We were delighted to see so many attendees. We would like to share the powerful words and insight of Dr. Boesak. Please click the links below to view the service.
