President Micah McCreary to Receive Norman Vincent Peale Award
October 20, 2026
New Brunswick Theological Seminary (NBTS) President Rev. Dr. Micah L. McCreary will receive a 2026 Norman Vincent Peale Award for Positive Thinking from the Blanton-Peale Institute & Counseling Center on October 22 in New York City.
The award recognizes leadership that advances hope, compassion, and the well-being of others. Dr. McCreary will be honored for his work in ministry, mental and spiritual wellness, and service to others.
“Hope is not about ignoring the challenges we face,” said Dr. McCreary. “It’s about believing change is possible and having the courage to do something about it. That’s the kind of leadership we cultivate at NBTS.”
Under his leadership, NBTS prepares students to put their theological education to work in congregations and communities, with a particular emphasis on justice, service, and pastoral care.
The Seminary also partners with Blanton-Peale to strengthen its pastoral care and counseling programs, helping students connect theological study with the practical demands of ministry.
Dr. McCreary will be honored alongside Rev. Dr. Michael Bos, Senior Minister of Marble Collegiate Church. The awards gala takes place Thursday, October 22, at SECOND NYC in New York City.
Please join the NBTS community in congratulating President McCreary on this recognition.
