Institutional Aid & Scholarships
As part of New Brunswick Theological Seminary’s continued mission to educate persons and strengthen communities for transformational, public ministries in church and society, we are proud to offer institutional aid and scholarships. Increasing institutional aid and scholarships remains one of the highest priorities of the Seminary. Institutional aid and scholarship awards can be based on a variety of criteria including denomination, enrollment status, academic merit, talent, demonstrated financial need, field of study, participation in a specific program, organization or activity, financial need, and/or any combination of the above.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Minimum eligibility requirements for New Brunswick Theological Seminary Institutional Aid:
- Be enrolled for at least 3 or more credits per semester
- Must maintain satisfactory academic and financial standing
- Must be a matriculated student in M.Div. or M.A.
Minimum eligibility requirements for New Brunswick Theological Seminary Financial Need-Based Scholarships:
- Must demonstrate financial need through FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
- Be enrolled for at least 3 or more credits per semester; Some scholarships require full time enrollment status
- Must maintain satisfactory academic and financial standing
- Must be a matriculated student in Certificate, M.Div., M.A., or D.Min.
Minimum eligibility requirements for New Brunswick Theological Seminary Merit-Based Scholarships:
- Maintain a 3.0 or better overall GPA
- Must maintain satisfactory financial standing
- Be enrolled at least half time per semester; Some scholarships will require full time enrollment status
- Must be a matriculated student in M.Div., M.A., or D.Min.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
New students apply for institutional aid and scholarships at New Brunswick Theological Seminary through their admissions application. For need-based aid and scholarship, applicants must fill out FAFSA and notify the Financial Aid office (financialaid@nbts.edu).
Current Students do not need to re-apply each year. If your financial circumstances change, please contact the Financial Aid office for assistance (financialaid@nbts.edu).
