Administrative Pastor
Reporting to the Lead Pastor, the Administrative Pastor is a part-time position (approximately 15 hours a week) that will play a critical role in supporting ACC’s various ministries as well as managing various administrative aspects of running the day to day operations of a church. S/he will be instrumental in:
(i) ensuring consistent and effective internal processes and communication that support ACC’s worship services, ministries and missions/outreach programs; and (ii) ensuring the smooth operation and production of ACC’s various services and events, including management of the technical aspects, so that ACC can offer a high quality and reliable worship service.This position has potential for growth, depending upon the individual’s demonstrated initiative and gifts. Much of the responsibilities can be conducted remotely except Sunday and other services and ministry and committee meetings which may require in-person presence. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Administration and Coordination:
● Coordinate all logistical aspects of ACC’s worship services (Sunday, Wednesday and special services) to ensure smooth execution, including coordinating with staff members, volunteers (praise team leader, A/V support ministry, welcome ministry, fellowship ministry, etc.), managing all physical settings (e.g., lighting, A/C or heat, unlocked doors, TV on in fellowship lounge). ● Prepare and proofread slides for services ● Collect and organize statistics for Sunday worship and other regular meetings/events (e.g., attendance, set list for praise team and sermon series) ● Manage and maintain church databases and directories (e.g., Realm) ● Provide support for special events (e.g., baptism, fellowship events) as necessaryChurch Communications:
○ Regular communication with Lead Pastor, staff, Lay Leader and ministry/committee heads ○ Compose and send out weekly email newsletters and special announcements, and regular congregation emails ○ Respond to administrative emails ○ Provide design support for visual materials (e.g., flyers, printouts, posters, graphics) ○ Regularly update Facebook, Instagram, and other ACC social media platformsTechnical Support:
o Work with Lead Pastor, Praise Director and other ministry leaders to create a high quality and reliable worship experience from an audio-visual perspective, managing the A/V equipment including cameras, audio mixer, speakers and projector o Supervising the A/V support ministry to set up and run each Sunday’s worship service and occasional special services and events that require A/V support o Oversee the worship slide production and use during worship o Prepare sermon video clip for uploading on social media o Maintain and update church website o Maintain database of photos of church events; produce occasional photo montage videosOffice Maintenance:
o Purchase and manage office supplies o Ensure tidy and organized office, lounge, and supply closet areas o Maintain all office equipment and coordinate regular maintenance/repairsMinistry Support:
o Manage ACC’s small group ministry and college ministry o Create vision and planning for these ministries, in conjunction with Lead Pastor o Schedule and hold meetings and events as appropriate o Recruit volunteersCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
o Demonstrated Christian faith commitment o Seminary degree or seminary student preferred o Strong people skills o Strong English written and verbal communication skills o Organized, extremely detail-oriented, and able to adhere to deadlines o Desire to work as a team with a sense of service; comfortable working “behind the scenes” o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) a must o Comfortable with technology and self-teaching new software when needed (e.g., Proclaim, MailChimp) o Technology-savvy and experience with audio-visual equipment; experience in or a willingness to learn aspects of network, server and hardware components, HTML and Expression Engine, Facebook Livestreaming o Able to commit to working in person 3-4 hours every Sunday, as well as occasional weekday nights or special occasionsACC currently offers one Sunday worship service at 10am and Bible study and Praise & Prayer mid-week on Wednesdays evenings. This position reports to the Lead Pastor.
