Church Program Coordinator
Community Church of Glen Rock seeks a creative out of the box and self-motivated individual
who has outstanding engagement and organizational skills with adults and youth. This person
will have broad responsibility to help develop, create and guide the Church’s programs based on
its objectives and goals. The person will report to the Senior Pastor and lay leaders who will be
making recommendations based on CCGR’s objectives.
The coordinator will research, plan, develop and implement programs recommended by the
church’s vision plan. Additional responsibilities include supervising staff/volunteers, engaging
and communicating potential program participants, setting benchmarks and program scope,
delegating tasks and tracking for success.
Duties and responsibilities:
Initiate and set goals for programs based on the vision planning goals.
Plan programs from start to finish, including identifying processes and supports, deadlines
and milestones.
Determine and obtain approvals on operations and budgets.
Train, motivate and organize volunteers.
Initiate and lead small and large group discussions.
Create and nurture effective communication within the organization and the surrounding
communities.
Build a strong team through open communication and by collaborating on decision making responsibilities.
Produce, maintain and communicate calendar of church activities.
The ideal candidate should have:
• 2-3 years of experience creating programs and outreach and have demonstrated skills in a
variety of educational methods including presentations, training, and group facilitation.
• demonstrated cultural competence and inclusiveness and
• the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a wide variety stakeholders.
