All New Brunswick Theological Seminary classes will be online for Fall 2020
June 4, 2020
The Administration and Faculty of the seminary have had extensive discussions concerning possibilities for the upcoming fall semester. Students have weighed-in during the Dean’s chat and in one-on-one conversations with leadership about their desires for next semester. What we learned in the past few months from the CDC is that the most significant risk of infection of the CoronaVirus is to be in a closed room with other people for an extended period of time, even if social distancing is observed. In other words, the traditional classroom setting is at a high risk for spreading COVID-19.
Making this decision now allows the Faculty time to prepare the quality teaching you have come to appreciate and gives you time to prepare for online learning.
We are working on some creative ways for us to connect as a community both virtually and safely in-person. But for the fall, all instruction will be done entirely online.
Please continue to watch your email for additional announcements from the Gardner A. Sage Library as the staff looks for ways to best serve you and your needs.
Thank you for patience as we move forward during these unusual circumstances. Please reach out if you have questions of concerns.
We remain in God’s care,
Micah McCreary, President
Beth Tanner, VP and Dean of Academic Affairs
