A Light in God’s Cities Campaign
What God began in New York City more than two centuries ago is still growing, thriving, and sharing the Gospel worldwide. New Brunswick Theological Seminary, established in 1784, prepares leaders for transformative ministry on the front lines of an ever-changing world.
We’ve entered a new era of growth at the Seminary, and we invite you to get involved. NBTS has launched the $1.784 million campaign, A Light In God’s Cities, to help our current and future generations of seminarians think critically, act justly, and lead faithfully.
Campaign Focus Areas
Student Scholarships
Our students understand that attending Seminary requires an investment of time, energy, and money. Support their investment with one of your own through:
• a one-time donation of any amount;
• naming a scholarship by giving a single gift of $15,000 (or $5,000 per year for three years);
• or endowing a scholarship through a donation of $25,000 or more to help students now and in the future.
Online Learning & Engagement
Your contribution to the Online Learning and Engagement Fund will help put technology infrastructure in place to expand the online availability of our master’s and doctoral degree programs, including a robust learning management system, video recording and production equipment, upgrades to our website, online library resources, faculty training in online education, and the addition of online education support staff.
The Seminary Fund
The Seminary Fund is the financial foundation of NBTS. It provides funding for the day-to-day operational costs of the Seminary. Your gift to the Seminary Fund provides direct assistance to our students by helping us meet our operating needs without passing those costs along in the form of increased tuition. It also expands our capacity to provide more financial aid. You can donate with confidence to the Seminary Fund, knowing that we will apply the income where the Seminary’s needs are greatest.
Endowment & Planned Gifts
Gifts to our Endowment provide immediate blessings and establish a legacy of support for future generations. When you make an endowment gift, you help us offer more scholarships, attract and retain world-class faculty through endowed chairs, and provide income for a solid financial future. You can also use a planned estate gift to fund an endowment. Your estate gift can create a legacy to honor a loved one, a pastor or ministry leader, or someone who has made a significant impact on your life and the lives of others.
