Rear Admiral Alan T. Baker is a 30-year veteran of chaplaincy. He was the 16th Chaplain of the United States Marine Corps and the first graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy to be selected as a Chaplain Corps Flag Officer. He served as Directional Leader at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, a 4,000-member, multi-campus church in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Dr. Baker will provide an overview of the nature and foundation of chaplaincy, including the importance of leadership skills as well as vocational opportunities for various types of chaplaincy. You will be able to explore the commonalities, distinctives, and expectations of chaplaincy with the added benefit of gaining insight into God’s design and purpose for your life.
